Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18, 1979. Her performances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most well-known. She also is famous for her character as The Armorer in The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also a part of the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. While attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in various amateur, college, and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School located in Jacksonville in 2001. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She was then able to go on to study for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military-themed drama. She was a part of two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's play Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. In 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical, Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps when they face diverse life circumstances.
