Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born on May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Her most well-known role is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004), and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 in 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in Japan. Following in the footsteps of her father and grandmother She was interested in drawing, painting, and architecture from an early age. She continued pursuing the visual arts, but had an increasing interest in acting and was introduced to modern theater at the age of college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at college, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the encouragement from her acting instructor. She took on a variety of assistant roles in the theater industry in D.C. to try to get noticed. However, she never managed to land major roles in local theater productions and had be able to find odd jobs to make ends meet but she continued to work in the film industry as an instructional filmmaker. In the following years, she was able to find roles in more television productions, often playing roles that she thought were "very humorous, sarcastic, and knowing women" which was similar to her idol Bea Arthur. These roles were often cancelled after a couple of seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and love interest of the main Jimmy McGill/Saul Bestman (Bob Odenkirk).
